The TCAGP was established in October 1964, its founding director being Prof. Emeritus Norberto Vila. During the zoom event on October 26 hosted by DGE, TCAGP alumni, most of them working with government and LGU Planning Offices all over the country, gave inspiring testimonials of how their training in toolsets and data analysis has powered their career advances, and the usefulness of the tools for carrying out their respective functions.

The TCAGP is one of the five research centers that are now administered by the UP National Engineering Center. It attracts a continuing stream of trainees, especially from government, because their participation fees are shouldered by their respective offices. And they are invited to attend course updates, keeping them abreast in their respective fields.
