UPERDFI and the UP Diliman Technology Transfer and Business Development Office have crafted the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that institutionalizes the teaming effort that aims to facilitate the conversion of research results of UP Diliman into products and services that impact society. The formal signing will be set up by the Office of the UP Diliman Chancellor. In prior years, this joint effort was done on an opportunity basis.
The UPD TTBDO is headed by Dr. Magdaleno Vazquez, Jr., past chairman of the UPCOE Dept. of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, himself an experienced researcher with several projects including industry-academe collaborations to his credit.
