With the help of our member Annette Alcasabas, MetE alumna Agnes Marquez-Whiten, UPAE Global Awardee for Women’s Empowerment in 2014, made a significant donation to the High Performance Computing Facility Project. Agnes was cited as a champion of women’s rights and women in industry in Australia. Using FEMINIST as the one word to describe her life, she lives in Brisbane, and is also connected with the University of Queensland.
