UPERDFI hosted a meeting with UPCOE and the National Engineering Center (NEC) on August 5 to discuss the next steps in promoting the Energy System Model to industry and government sectors. The group discussed three avenues to be pursued for ESM promotion – a regular training course offered at the NEC, a modeling tool for industry, and a resource for public policy-making on energy.

In attendance were UPERDFI President Val Reyes, ED Tito Aliga, CorpSec Chicho Mantaring and ESM Project Manager Roger Buendia; ESM Project Team Leader and EEEI Director Dr. Michael Angelo Pedrasa; UPCOE Associate Dean for Public Service Dr. Eden May de la Peña; and NEC Executive Director Dr. Ariel Blanco, and Marketing and Information Division Head Arlene de Ocampo.
