The UP College of Engineering Public Policy Lecture on Alleviating Traffic Congestion was held on August 20, 2021. This was co-presented by the National Engineering Center, in cooperation with UPERDFI and UPAE. 

The keynote speaker, Civil Engineering Professor Dr. Ricardo Sigua presented various alternatives to decongest major urban roads in the country. He also raised the need to strengthen the linkages among government, industry, the academe and the public to share the responsibilities to improve traffic conditions. Dr. Sigua shared his aspiration for the COE and National Center for Transportation Studies (NCTS) to be a think tank for solving complex transportation problems of the country.
