The Golden Anniversary Committee led by President Val Reyes and Adviser Chato Calderon met on December 29, 2021 to fine-tune the preparation for the Coffee Table Book. The team is currently preparing the budget for this particular part of the jubilee celebration based on the service quotations and initial canvassing. Committee member Jeng Pascual spearheaded the initiative to prepare a Request for Proposal (RFP) from prospective suppliers. The scope of work includes editing, design, development and production of the Coffee Table book and the video. The table of contents, list of articles and writers have also been firmed up. The Coffee Table Book aims to capture the history, milestones and programs, and weave these with the future direction of the foundation.

On January 4, 2022, Pres Val Reyes hosted a special huddle with the UP Chemical Engineering Class 1969 led by Adviser Sec. Boy de la Peña to thresh out key editorial matters. Class ‘69 will form part of the editorial team. Attendees included Tito Aliling, Benjie Lopez, Pepe Santiago and Cesar Yñiguez; ED Tito Aliga also attended.

We thank our members, the UP College of Engineering, UP Alumni Engineers and Class ‘69  for volunteering their time and skills for this once-in-a-half-century effort.
