Academe, industry, and government leaders joined the three-day colloquium showcasing the research works of 131 professorial chair awardees held from January 25 to 27 at UP NEC.

The PCA Colloquium was organized by the College of Engineering, with the theme “Engineering Research and Development Towards the Sustainable Development Goals”. The presentations were clustered into eight thematic areas – computers and information and communications technology; disaster preparedness, prevention, and mitigation; energy and power; environmental protection and preservation; health and well-being; sustainable (smart) cities and communities; waste and water; and responsible consumption and production.

UPERDFI solicits and administers the funding for the professorial chairs, which are annual awards for faculty members who pass a rigorous application process. Faculty who are not yet eligible for chairs are provided with Teaching and Research Awards.
